HIGH TIME SAIL SNORKEL and BEACH

It’s Adventure Time when you board your catamaran, High Time for a snorkel and Beach experience. Sail along the coastline to the Molinere Underwater Statue Park or to the Flamingo Bay Marine Park. The crew will give you the orientation briefing before leading you on an underwater journey.

After snorkeling, High Time sails off to Grand Anse beach. Sunbathe, or relax on the beach all to the strains of Caribbean Calypso Music before returning to your ship.
Please note: Rum Punch, bottled water and sandwiches are complimentary. Guests must be able to walk unaided. All participating guests will be required to sign a waiver which may only be available in English. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent onsite for an additional cost.

Camouflage clothing is not permitted in Grenada. The captain will determine the snorkelling destination based on weather conditions, selecting either the Molinere or Flamingo Bay Marine Park

AROUND THE ISLE OF SPICE

Discover the scents and aromas of the “Isle of Spice” on this full day sightseeing tour by motor coach. Your driver will follow the west coast, rich in history and colour. Your first stop will allow you to discover the natural pool of Concord Fall. There, you will spend approximately 30 minutes and observe a very particular type of plantation. Here, the nutmeg and cocoa trees grow along the flanks of the hills in the tropical forest that nearby. Your spice discovery will continue at the Diamond Chocolate factory in Victoria which produces the Jouvay chocolate. You will spend approximately 30 minutes here and have the chance to learn how chocolate (tree to bar) is produced and exported. A chocolate tasting will conclude this visit.

The tour then continues to the views over Grenada’s Grenadine islands, once home to the Carib Indians on the island. By now, you’re ready for lunch, where you will spend approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to taste some typical Creole dishes while enjoying a view. To end this day, you will return to the pier through the rain forest over the mountains with a 30 minute stop at Grand Etang, home of the Mona monkey, where you can take a short walk of the surrounding gardens. An approximately 30 minute drive back to the ship brings this tour to a close.

CREOLE BUS SENSATION

Originally British, the Creole buses were the first large means of transportation on the island in the 50’s. Neglected and forgotten over the course of the years due to the competition of modern transport, they are currently making their comeback to provide you with the opportunity of savouring how Grenada was in the early days! Nothing has changed: bright colours, and padded wooden benches. So, off we go for a truly local cocktail. Grenada’s capital is British in nature with the Carenage, a little harbour set in the hollow of an ancient volcano. This is our point of departure from where we launch ourselves in the assault of St George’s. It is indeed a bit of a climb to reach the heights of Grenadian history; we are on our way to the panoramas that can be admired at Fort Frederick which overlooks the small capital. Its ancient stones and rocks tell the tale of the culture shock between England and France in the old days. Fort Frederick, stands dominant above the tropical rainforest and the Caribbean Sea, offering you a stop with a panoramic view of 360 degree. Leaving Fort Frederick behind, head to the south of the island, “surfing” the hill tops, as the bus follows the road along the tropical hills and slides down the Grenadian countryside. You will then arrive at Quarantine Point for a photo stop with a view of the bays of Grand Anse and Morne Rouge before going to the beach for a one hour stop, with your feet in the water, your head below the sea grape trees and a rum punch in your hand. A short drive to return to the cruise terminal will end this tour. Guests must be at least 5 years old to participate.

CHOCOLATE & FALLS

This island tour will allow you to get to know everything about the “Jouvay” organic chocolate production at the Diamond Chocolate Factory nestled in the village of Victoria on the west coast of Grenada. You’ll find it in an 18th-century converted rum distillery, which was built by French monks. Nowadays, the factory’s responsible for making ‘Jouvay’.

This chocolate’s completely organic and you’ll learn how it’s made – from the harvest of the cocoa beans, to watching them dry on trays under the Caribbean sun. A visit to the garden of cocoa trees to see, cocoa, cloves, chili, nutmeg, flowers, fruits, followed by a chocolate tasting, will conclude this visit. On your way back, you will stop for approximately 30 minutes at the natural pool at the Concord Falls. Here the nutmeg and cocoa trees grow along the flanks of the hills in the tropical forest that is forever near. Weather permitting, you may even have the opportunity to enjoy a quick dip in the water before returning to the ship. Guests must be at least 5 years old to participate.

SIGHTSEEING & TROPICAL BEACH TOUR

GRAND ETANG & BEACH

Get the historical and geographical highlights on this tour of Grenada. Enjoy a narrated drive through the capital of St. George’s en route to Grand Etang National Park and visit the Grand Etang visitor center which has a few displays explaining the local foliage, fauna and history. Needless to say, the views are exceptional. Grand Etang is a crater lake surrounded by a lush tropical forest and is part of the nature reserve. The scenery is breathtaking, with the chance to see a fascinating cross-section of the flora and fauna which make up this rain forest. Then, en route Grand Anse Beach where you can enjoy some time to relax in the sun before heading back to the ship.

PANORAMIC DRIVE OF THE SOUTH OF GRENADA

Enjoy a drive in the south of Grenada. Your journey begins with a visit of Saint George’s, the capital of Grenada. This charming Caribbean town sits on the perimeter of the island’s natural harbor.

Founded in the early 18th century by the French, St. George’s still has some of the character of a French town, which is evident in the red tiled roofs and pastel colours of its buildings. Then, you will pass by the Corniche du Morne Jaloux road, passing Fort Frederick towards the village of Woburn to admire the coastal views of the East Side of the island. You will then arrive at Quarantine Point for a photo stop for a view of the bays of Grand Anse and Morne Rouge before returning to the cruise terminal.

Please note: This two-hour tour is designed to be a scenic overview for guests who prefer shorter excursions with minimal walking. Camouflage clothing is not permitted in Grenada

FORT FREDERICK RAINFOREST AND FALLS

Your sightseeing journey begins with a drive through the town of St. George’s, the capital of Grenada, en route to Fort Frederick, an 18th-century fortress that offers panoramic views of St. George’s harbor. It is perched atop Richmond Hill and was built by two nations.

The French started it in 1779 and the British completed it in 1791 during the French revolution. Next is Grand Etang National Park, enjoy a complimentary beverage while taking in views of the lake that is located in the crater of an extinct volcano. With a bit of chance, you may meet the Mona Monkey who elected home in this area. Then head to Annandale Falls that features a short but steep walk down to where the rushing water is framed by hanging ferns and a variety of the island’s flowering and medicinal plants. Guests must be at least 5 years old to participate.

OUTBACK OPEN SAFARI TRUCK TOUR

This excursion is loaded with views and intriguing spots, all presented to you in your open-air safari truck. Travel from the cruise terminal into the heart of the bustling town of St. George’s, onto the village of Tanteen.

Continue up to Lowthers Lane, with scenic views of the port, the historic Fort George, and the Parliament building. Your first stop will be at Fort Frederick – be sure to take in the scenery that surrounds you. Then you will take a detour inland through agricultural villages to the historic Battlehill. Travel through the town of Grenville, onto the Grand Etang Crater Lake and Welcome Center and capture more photographic memories. This experience will keep you entertained with the history and cultural gem that is Grenada. Guests must be at least 6 years old to participate.
