View Ocean Cay’s scenery in unique style on this approximately hour-long rental, which lets you and a companion captain your very own sailing kayak. Begin by making your way to Bimini Beach (a short walk from the ship) and signing a waiver before picking up your rental. Then you’re ready to head out on the water.
The Hobie sailing kayak you’ll be using comes equipped with a special pedal system, meaning you can use your legs to power the craft with only minimal effort needed. Best of all, you don’t need any previous sailing experience, so you can easily set off on your Ocean Cay sightseeing voyage immediately after picking up your kayak. As well as the pedal function, the Hobie kayak’s sail helps it to utilise any breeze that might be present, making drifting across the water even easier.
After an hour or so comes to an end, return your kayak to conclude the rental.
Important Information: Each kayak can hold 2 guests. The listed price is per kayak (not per person); only one person needs to book, with tour payment chargeable to only one account. The name of the companion sharing the kayak with the paying guest must be registered at the Excursions’Desk. Guests must be at least 10 years old to participate.
Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a paying parent and/or guardian the entire duration of the rental. The pickup point for the rental is at Bimini Beach, which is an approximate 15-minute walk from the ship. Guests will have designated areas around Ocean Cay to kayak in. A waiver will be required to be filled out prior to the tour and may only be available in English. Guests under 18 years old must have a parent or legal guardian fill out the waiver form for them.
A life jacket will be required to be worn throughout the entire rental duration. Guests who are interested in booking this tour should consider their physical fitness level and be able to swim in waters too deep to stand. It is recommended that guests wear a bathing suit, sunscreen, a hat, or sunglasses. There is a small storage space onboard the kayak. The maximum combined weight to participate is 550 lbs.
