OCEAN CAY MARINE RESERVE SNORKEL GEAR RENTAL – ALL DAY RENTAL

See the underwater worlds of The Bahamas by renting snorkel equipment and exploring Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, MSC Cruises’private Bahamian island.

Enjoy a full day to navigate the Atlantic Ocean waters surrounding Ocean Cay with a snorkel kit rental. After a short time spent picking up your equipment, you’ll have an entire day to snorkel at leisure on this unguided excursion.

Feel free to move between Ocean Cay’s beaches, swimming through the ocean and viewing the plant life and marine life. With your equipment secured for a whole day, there’s no rush, so feel free to take things at your own pace.

Once you return your equipment, the excursion concludes.

Important Information: This snorkel rental experience is unguided. Snorkeling equipment must be returned in perfect conditions; any loss or damage may result in debiting an extra charge of $60.00 for loss and $30.00 USD for damage of snorkeling equipment to the guest. All snorkeling equipment should be returned by 4:30pm (time subject to change).

Please refer to the Shorex Desk onboard the ship for the exact time and designated drop off location. Snorkeling equipment should only be returned at the designated drop off locations as communicated during your cruise and handed back to the personnel in charge

OCEAN CAY WAVERUNNER TOUR: 2 GUESTS (1 DRIVER & 1 RIDER)

Take your sightseeing at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve to the next level by doing it on a WaveRunner, a type of personal watercraft (PWC) that allows you to zip across the water. On this excursion of approximately 90 minutes, you and a fellow guest will take a guided tour on the WaveRunner, with one of you doing the driving to further increase the fun.

Excursion details

Enjoy Ocean Cay’s scenery in style on this excursion of around 90 minutes, which allows guests to drive a WaveRunner on a guided tour. To begin, there’s a short time for completing waivers, followed by around 20 minutes to receive a full safety briefing and guidance on driving your PWC. Then you and another guest will climb aboard your two-person WaveRunner and begin the exploration.

WaveRunners allow riders to sit down, with one leg on each side of the PWC (similar to how a motorcycle is ridden), so you’ll enjoy a comfy trip as you glide over the Atlantic Ocean on a guided tour of approximately one hour. As you zoom smoothly through the water, you’ll be treated to views of beaches, coastlines and nearby islands.

After your hour of sightseeing and aquatic adventuring come to an end you’ll return to the dock, concluding the excursion.

Important Information: the listed price is per WaveRunner (not per person); only one person needs to book, with tour payment chargeable to only one account. The name of a companion sharing the WaveRunner with the paying guest must be registered at the Excursions’Desk. Minimum age to drive is 18yrs. Guests must be at least 10 years old to participate. All riders between the ages of 10-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Alcohol consumption is not permitted prior to the tour departure.

The maximum combined weight cannot exceed 170 kg (375 lbs). Drivers cannot be switched. Guests will be required to sign a waiver. All participants must speak and understand English. A life jacket will be provided and will be required to be worn throughout the entire tour duration

OCEAN CAY GLOW NIGHTTIME STAND UP PADDLE BOARDING

Excursion details

There’s no need to stop your sightseeing when the sun sets, as you can continue exploring at night-time on a paddleboard during this excursion of approximately one hour.

A short time for completing waivers starts the excursion, followed by a short safety briefing and orientation to fully prepare you for controlling your stand-up paddleboard.

Then begins your night-time adventure, lasting approximately 35 minutes. Hop onto your paddleboard, which is equipped with LEDs to aid your evening viewing.

As you paddle peacefully over the lagoon, the LEDs create a beam of light that shines in front of you, illuminating the water and potentially some of the marine life and plant life beneath the surface. It’s a calming experience and a great way to see a different side of Ocean Cay.

After the paddleboarding comes to an end, the excursion concludes.

Important Information: guests must be at least 14 years of age to participate. The spotting of wildlife is not guaranteed

OCEAN CAY SNORKELING ADVENTURE

Get a glimpse of life underwater during this snorkelling excursion at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, lasting approximately two hours. You’ll be able to follow your instructor for a guided tour or explore by yourself, and there’s a complimentary rum punch or fruit punch to enjoy afterwards.

Dive into a snorkelling adventure through the waters of Ocean Cay, MSC Cruises’private Bahamian island, on this excursion of around two hours. After approximately 15 minutes for passengers to board the boat, you’ll sail for around 15 minutes to the snorkelling site. Then you’ll be given a safety briefing and instructions on how to use your equipment, before embarking on a snorkelling session lasting approximately one hour.

Follow your instructor through the waters if you want a more guided experience – you’ll learn about marine life and plant life from your guide, and you may even get to see fish being fed. Alternatively, feel free to snorkel around the area on your own for a more independent exploration.

Afterwards, reboard the boat and sip a complimentary fruit punch or rum punch, the perfect reward after an active trip. You’ll then sail back to the pier on a journey lasting around 15 minutes, concluding the excursion.

Important Information: guests are requested to consider their physical fitness level and medical history when determining whether this tour is appropriate.

Guests with cardiac conditions, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, other heart or respiratory conditions or any other medical condition must take particular caution when selecting a tour with snorkelling/swimming elements, since such water activities could be subject to adverse sea conditions such as high winds, waves and sea currents. Guests who have concerns must consult with their personal physician before engaging in any activity that may be strenuous for them, particularly those involving snorkelling/swimming elements. Guests will be required to sign a waiver which may only be available in English. General instructions for the snorkeling will be given in English only. Guests must be able to climb a ladder in and out of a boat. Guests of limited mobility should not select this tour. Guests must be at least 21 years of age to consume alcohol.

Snorkelling site is dependent on sea conditions and is subject to change at captain discretion. Guests must be at least 5 years of age to participate in the snorkeling portion of this tour. The spotting of wildlife is not guaranteed. Guests will receive a glass of complimentary rum punch or fruit punch after the snorkeling portion of the tour.

OCEAN CAY KAYAK EXPLORER TOUR

Explore Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve in a relaxing way on this guided kayak excursion, lasting approximately 90 minutes. You’ll be able to enjoy views of the island’s scenery off Bimini Beach as you paddle.

If you want to combine activity and relaxation during your time on Ocean Cay – MSC Cruises’private island in The Bahamas – this kayaking trip of around 90 minutes allows you to do both. Begin by completing waivers and making your way to Bimini Beach, where you’ll be given a full safety briefing and instructions on controlling and steering your kayak.

Next, you’ll hit the water and begin approximately one hour of guided kayaking. Your guides will lead the way, pointing out sights of interest as you paddle, allowing you to enjoy views of the coastline and other island scenery.

After your approximately one-hour session concludes, the excursion comes to an end.

OCEAN CAY BEACHSIDE STARGAZING

Excursion details

This stargazing experience, lasting approximately one hour, is a chance to experience a different side of Ocean Cay, MSC Cruises’private Bahamian island. During the day, its beaches provide sunshine and sea views, but after sunset, the island’s remote location – away from city lights – provides a platform for a different kind of beauty: unobstructed views of the night skies.

Begin by meeting at the Excursion and Rentals Pavilion, before making your way to the beachside location. After a short briefing and complimentary welcome drink, you’ll then begin your stargazing session, lasting around 45 minutes. A guide will help you to try and spot star clusters, planets, nebulas and distant galaxies through a telescope, depending on what might be viewable that evening.

As the location of The Bahamas is just north of the Tropic of Cancer, the islands sit relatively close to the Equator, which means that – when conditions are right – they offer views of both northern and southern hemisphere constellations, so you might be able to spot star clusters you can’t see at home. During the excursion, you’ll also learn some facts about the solar system, meaning you’ll end the experience with some new knowledge.

Once the stargazing time comes to an end, the excursion concludes.

Important Information: stargazing is dependent on weather and cloud cover. Guests must be at least 21 years of age to consume alcohol. Guests will not have their own telescope during this tour and will share with the group

OCEAN CAY BEACH CABANA RENTAL – HALF DAY RENTAL

Spend the day on the cay with family and friends in the comfort of your very own cabana. You will have access to your cabana for your half day stay on the island, making for easy-going and convenient enjoyment of the sun and sea. Enjoy water and towels upon arrival and take in the views while relaxing on a floating mat.

Please note: guests will have use of the cabana (with space for up to 6 people), with amenities including drinking water, beach towels and 2 floating beach mats. The listed price is per cabana (not per person); only one person needs to book, with tour payment chargeable to only one account. The name of a companions sharing the cabana with the paying guest must be registered at the Excursions’ Desk. In case of 2 days calls in Ocean Cay, cabana rentals are only valid for one day.

The OCC14H is only available on calls where the ship is in port until 12PM. Cabana rentals conclude when the beach closes on Ocean Cay, which is 11:00 AM. Cabana locations will be assigned once onboard. Specific cabana preferences are not guaranteed

BEACHFRONT YACHT CLUB CABANA – HALF DAY RENTAL – YACHT CLUB EXCLUSIVE

Step out in style, from your Yacht Club Cabana directly onto the beach.  Ideal to share with family and friends, you will enjoy the comfort and privacy of your cabana. You will have access to your cabana for your half day stay on the island, making for easy-going and convenient enjoyment of the sun and sea. You are welcomed with water and towels as well as complimentary lunch, beverages, and fruit skewers. In addition, four complimentary floating mats are provided to relax in the turquoise Bahamian waters.
Please note: This tour is exclusive for guests booked in a Yacht Club cabin.

OCEAN CAY FLOATING BEACH MAT RENTAL (MAX 1 PAX) – ALL DAY RENTAL

There’s nothing quite like bobbing along gently on the ocean waters, especially when you’re on a beach mat and surrounded by Bahamian scenery. This excursion lets you hire a floating mat for a whole day, allowing you to move between beach and ocean as freely as you like.

It’s the perfect way of relaxing. Pick your spot from Ocean Cay’s multiple beaches, head out onto the Atlantic Ocean and admire the coastal views as you float across the water. Blissfully simple and rewarding. Then just return your mat once your day of rental comes to an end.

Important Information: Guests must collect their floating beach mat from the rental station and carry them to the location that they wish to use them
