Take one giant leap towards learning more about NASA, space and the science behind it all, with this excursion to the Kennedy Space Center, lasting around four hours. Here, visitors can learn more about high-scale US space programs and see inside a working flight facility.

Following a drive from the ship lasting around 30 minutes, spend approximately three hours exploring the venue on a self-guided tour. There are many activities to choose from, including watching immersive space films in the venue’s IMAX cinema, meeting a veteran NASA astronaut in the daily Astronaut Encounter experience (subject to timings and availability), touching an actual moon rock (brought back to Earth from Apollo 17) and climbing aboard the Shuttle Launch Experience, which safely simulates the eight-and-a-half-minute ascent into orbit.

There are also numerous artefacts exhibited throughout Kennedy Space Center, such as the Space Shuttle Atlantis (which delivered parts to the International Space Station) and a Saturn V rocket – taller than the Statue of Liberty and the largest type of rocket ever to be flown through space. A transfer of approximately 30 minutes then returns to the ship.

Important Information: This tour is only available for guests who are in transit in the port of Port Canaveral. Guests using a wheelchair who wish to participate are required to contact the Shore Excursions’Desk 48 hours prior to the tour. It is recommended that guests wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes. The visit inside the Kennedy Space Center is unguided. Depending on your ship’s arrival and departure time, the total time spent at Kennedy Space Center may vary. Lasting about three and a half hours, this adventure combines the story of Port Canaveral’s rise with a tranquil boat tour of Cocoa Beach’s Thousand Islands. The first 30 minutes or so is a drive that takes in the highlights of Port Canaveral, one of the world’s busiest cruise ports, set on the east coast of Florida. You’ll learn more about how this modest harbour grew into the bustling port it is today, while also hearing about its unique ecosystem and the surrounding history.

You’ll then reach the Thousand Islands Conservation Area in Cocoa Beach – a 136-hectare reserve on the Banana River, part of the Indian River Lagoon system, comprising a maze of interconnected islands. The highlight of your approximately two-hour visit is a nature-focused cruise that sails you through the saltwater marshes and winding mangrove tunnels that are home to more than 4,000 species of plants and animals.

With such a huge variety of wildlife inhabiting the area, see what species you can spot as you sail, although please note that wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. As you float past canal-front homes, you’ll learn about the area’s history from your onboard guide and soak in the tranquil atmosphere, before an approximately 30-minute transfer back to the ship concludes the excursion.

An approximately 15-minute shuttle will bring you to Cocoa Beach. Cocoa Beach offers a laid-back atmosphere, ideal for those seeking a simple, natural beach experience. This is not a beach club with extensive amenities. Instead, visitors can enjoy miles of sandy shores, gentle waves which made it a top surfing destination, and a laid-back vibe that invites you to unwind. As part of this tour, exclusive discounts are provided at several local favorites: Ron Jon Surf Shop, the world’s largest surf shop; The Florida Key Lime Company; and “Sand Bar,” just a short stroll away. Additionally, enjoy a complimentary visit to the Florida Surf Museum. Food can be purchased at one of the nearby small restaurants.
Please note: This tour is not recommended for guests confined to a wheelchair.

Return transportation to the cruise terminal will be via shuttle bus, which departs approximately every 45 minutes. The last shuttle bus will depart 1 hour before all aboard. It is recommended that guests bring with them a towel, sunscreen, and a bathing suit. This tour is unguided. Lovers of the outdoors will enjoy this approximately three-and-a-half-hour kayaking excursion in the Florida mangroves.

Board the bus at the port and drive around 30 minutes to reach your kayaking destination. Once you’ve been introduced, your guide will allocate kayaks and give a safety briefing. Tow your vessel to the water and set off on a relaxing tour of the lagoon for around two and a half hours, floating past mangroves and grass flats.

This endangered estuary is known for its diverse ecosystem, home to more than 4,000 animal and plant species. Keep a lookout as you paddle, as you may observe manatees, dolphins, snowy egrets, brown pelicans, southern stingrays, and more, although sightings can never be guaranteed. When the kayaking time comes to an end, a transfer of approximately 30 minutes returns to the port.

Important Information: It is recommended that guests wear comfortable clothing, closed toe shoes, and bring bug spray. This tour is not recommended for guests who are wheelchair confined or have difficulty walking. Participants must be able to get in and out of the kayak. The price of this tour is per person. Dive deep into Disney on this excursion of around seven hours, which provides transport to and from the popular Disney Springs destination. A transfer lasting about 90 minutes takes you directly to Disney Springs, and then begins approximately three-to-five hours of free time (depending on timing in port) to independently wander its 90-plus stores, 70 restaurants and dining spots, and 25 entertainment and leisure opportunities.

Shopping-wise, browse the latest Disney merchandise and stock up on other top brands, including various athletic and fitness labels.

When it’s time to eat, there’s a similarly impressive selection. Big-draw names like Planet Hollywood and Wolfgang Puck sit alongside smaller vendors, variously offering pizza, poutine, tacos, burritos, burgers, doughnuts and gelato – to name just a few choices – plus healthier options like salads and smoothies. If you want to grab a drink, you’ll be able to sip a margarita or craft beer, or get your caffeine fix at various Starbucks outposts.

If you’re looking for entertainment between dining and shopping time, there are multiple live music venues, an art walk, a kids’club, balloon flights, ten-pin bowling and much more. Once the free time comes to an end, a transfer of around 90 minutes returns to the port, concluding the excursion.

This approximately three-and-a-half-hour excursion makes it a breeze to explore Port Canaveral’s essential sights. Following a transfer ride of around 15 minutes, you’ll arrive at your first stop, the Cape Canaveral Space Force Museum. You’ll have around one hour here to learn all about the history of space flight through its collection of restored artefacts from US Space Force launches.

Next, an approximately 15-minute drive takes you to Jetty Park, where guests can stroll along the pier, relax on the beach and enjoy views across the water for an hour or so. Afterwards, reboard the bus and drive to Cocoa Beach, around 15 minutes away.

Here, you’ll visit the Cocoa Beach branch of Ron Jon Surf Shop, the largest surfing shop in the world. After browsing its 52,000 square feet of surf, swim and skate essentials, wander over to the Florida Key Lime Pie Company. Satisfy your sweet tooth with a slice of pie – or perhaps even cheesecake – or pick up some locally made snacks and souvenirs to take home. After approximately 30 minutes spent exploring the shops, it’s time to return to the port via a transfer of around 15 minutes.

Adventure your way through a world of fun on this approximately seven-hour excursion to Disney World. Climb aboard your transport directly from the pier and make the approximately one-hour drive to the Transportation and Ticket Center, the gateway to all four parks. Ticket booking for all parks needs to be done independently by guests and is not included in the excursion cost.

Once you’ve chosen your park, you’ll have approximately three-to-five hours of free time (depending on timing in port) to explore independently. For classic Disney magic, Magic Kingdom awaits. Meet Mickey and other beloved Disney characters on Main Street, stroll past Cinderella Castle and enjoy iconic rides like Space Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Or glimpse into the future at Epcot. Journey through time on Spaceship Earth, race through Test Track, and sample international flavours at the World Showcase.

Animal Kingdom is tailor-made for nature lovers and adventure seekers. Get a taste of what it’s like being on safari or ride the Expedition Everest roller coaster to feel like you’re conquering icy peaks. Alternatively, you could experience the Avatar Flight of Passage in Pandora.

For a day of movie magic, head to Hollywood Studios, which brings beloved blockbusters to life. Step into an epic Star Wars battle, shrink down to toy-size in Toy Story Land and brave the free-fall of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

After your park visit, make your way back to the transportation centre for the approximately one-hour return ride to the port.

Begin by boarding your coach at the port for a journey lasting around 90 minutes. Once arrived, you’ll have approximately three-to-five hours of free time (depending on timing in port) to wander the complex, or perhaps even visit one of the nearby theme parks, at your own expense.

CityWalk houses everything from a mini golf course inspired by 1950s horror and science-fiction movies to a 20-screen cinema to keep you entertained. If you’re hungry and have a sweet tooth, try out The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen for its loaded milkshakes and desserts, while steak and seafood fans could head to Bigfire, a restaurant dedicated to cooking over open flames (the cost of any food purchased is not included in the excursion).

Afterwards, a transfer of around one hour and 30 minutes returns to the port, concluding the excursion.
