TRANSFER TO KENNEDY SPACE CENTER

Take one giant leap towards learning more about NASA, space and the science behind it all, with this excursion to the Kennedy Space Center, lasting around four hours. Here, visitors can learn more about high-scale US space programs and see inside a working flight facility.
Following a drive from the ship lasting around 30 minutes, spend approximately three hours exploring the venue on a self-guided tour. There are many activities to choose from, including watching immersive space films in the venue’s IMAX cinema, meeting a veteran NASA astronaut in the daily Astronaut Encounter experience (subject to timings and availability), touching an actual moon rock (brought back to Earth from Apollo 17) and climbing aboard the Shuttle Launch Experience, which safely simulates the eight-and-a-half-minute ascent into orbit.
There are also numerous artefacts exhibited throughout Kennedy Space Center, such as the Space Shuttle Atlantis (which delivered parts to the International Space Station) and a Saturn V rocket – taller than the Statue of Liberty and the largest type of rocket ever to be flown through space. A transfer of approximately 30 minutes then returns to the ship.
Important Information: This tour is only available for guests who are in transit in the port of Port Canaveral. Guests using a wheelchair who wish to participate are required to contact the Shore Excursions’Desk 48 hours prior to the tour. It is recommended that guests wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes. The visit inside the Kennedy Space Center is unguided. Depending on your ship’s arrival and departure time, the total time spent at Kennedy Space Center may vary. Estimated stay at Kennedy Space Center: approx. 3 hours. Please expect some queues at the venue. In addition, space shuttle launches are a frequent occurrence. As a result, Kennedy Space Center may become crowded, and delays may occur. Transfer time to the venue may vary due to local traffic conditions.
The price of this tour includes roundtrip transfers to the Kennedy Space Center and entrance ticket only. The transfer to and from the Kennedy Space Center takes approximately 30 minutes each way. Additional experiences are available at the space center on a first-come, first-served basis. Some of these additional experiences may come at an additional charge. If you opt for any of these additional experiences, please consider the amount of time spent at Kennedy Space Center and the departure time designated by your tour guide.
