ALOE VERA PLANTATION & OSTRICH FARM
From the world’s largest flightless birds to some of Willemstad’s finest mansions, this tour of Curaçao highlights is both entertaining and informative. You’ll first travel to Rif Fort village for lovely views of the city and the harbour, after which you’ll move on to one of the largest ostrich farms outside of Africa.
You’ll be taken around the farm in a safari truck, learn about the lifecycle of and even get to hand feed a few of these marvellous birds. A great presentation of the many properties attributed to aloe then follows at the Aloe Vera Plantation, with time included to do some souvenir shopping, before you move on again to a uniquely Curaçaoan location, the Chichi Gallery, named after the island’s womenfolk. The gallery exhibits and sells brightly coloured sculptural artworks of voluptuous ladies. Once back in the heart of Willemstad, a look at the beautifully restored old mansions along Scharlooweg rounds off the tour.
Please note: guests are recommended to wear outdoor clothing, high-factor sunscreen and sunglasses as well as to bring a camera. Flip-flops are not permitted
