BEQUIA HERITAGE TOUR
Start your day with an approximately 1-hour ferry ride to the island of Bequia, known for its seafaring traditions and laid-back charm. Upon arrival in Port Elizabeth, begin an approximately 2-hour guided tour of the island. Visit the village of Hamilton to explore the historic Hamilton Battery, offering panoramic views of Admiralty Bay. Continue to Mount Pleasant for scenic views of the southern Grenadines, then pass through hills once worked by Irish and Scottish laborers.
The tour ends at Friendship Bay, a traditional whaling area, where you’ll learn about the island’s maritime past. Enjoy approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes of free time at Friendship Bay Beach—swim, relax, enjoy local music, or purchase lunch and refreshments before the approximately 1-hour ferry ride back to Kingstown.
Please note: It is recommended that guests bring a bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, and a change of clothes, and cash or credit cards for any additional purchases.
Guests must be at least 12 years old to participate. Guests prone to motion sickness should take precautions prior to joining this tour as the ferry ride to and from Bequia may be rough depending on the sea conditions
