OCEAN CAY AQUA SADDLE RENTAL – ALL DAY RENTAL

Excursion details

Hire an aqua saddle and lounge the day away on this day-long excursion. These clever, buoyant devices allow you to sit upright while remaining in the water, leaving your arms free and letting you happily float around the waters surrounding Ocean Cay, soaking up the views.

Head to the designated hire station to pick up your aqua saddle and fill in the necessary paperwork, then you’re all set. After your day-long rental comes to an end, return your aqua saddle to conclude the excursion.

Important Information: Each Aqua Saddle fits 1 person. Aqua saddles should only be returned at the designated drop off locations during your cruise and handed back to the personnel in charge. Please refer to the Shore Excursions Desk onboard for ship for the exact time and designated drop off location. Guests must be at least 8 years old to use the Aqua Saddle and must be supervised by an adult. The maximum weight to use the Aqua Saddle is 300 lbs.

OCEAN CAY AQUA TRICYCLE RENTAL 1 HOUR RENTAL

Excursion details

Cycling over water may sound like a dream, but it’s entirely possible when you hire an aqua tricycle on this approximately hour-long excursion. Make your way to the rental station (around a 15-minute walk from the ship) and spend a short time signing a waiver before picking up your aqua tricycle.

Then climb aboard and use some gentle pedal power to move around Ocean Cay’s waters. These water bikes can hold two riders, so you and a companion can explore this Bahamian island together. As you pedal, look out for marine wildlife around you (although sightings cannot be guaranteed).

After approximately one hour is over, return the aqua tricycle to conclude the excursion.

Important Information: Each Aqua Tricycle seats 2 guests. The listed price is per aqua tricycle (not per person); only one person needs to book, with tour payment chargeable to only one account.

The name of the companion sharing the aqua tricycle with the paying guest must be registered at the Excursions’Desk. A life vest must be worn throughout the entire rental duration. OCEAN CAY CRYSTAL KAYAKING RENTAL 1 HOUR RENTAL

Enjoy a kayaking trip with a difference on this approximately hour-long excursion. You’ll be independently paddling a kayak with a transparent base over the waters of Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, providing increased aquatic viewing for you and a companion.

Take a closer look at Ocean Cay MSC Cruises’ private island in The Bahamas – with this excursion of around one hour, which lets you hire a clear kayak with a transparent base. Begin by arriving at the rentals station (around a 15-minute walk from the ship), where you’ll spend a short time signing a waiver before picking up your two-seater clear kayak.

Then head out to the designated exploration zones and begin paddling with a companion. As you glide over the Bahamian waters, you’ll be able to look down through your kayak and view what’s below, thanks to the special clear design. Look out for the island’s marine life in the waters (although viewings can’t be guaranteed).

Once your rental of around one hour comes to an end, return your clear kayak to conclude the excursion.

OCEAN CAY LED CRYSTAL KAYAKING BY NIGHT TOUR

Excursion details

This excursion of around one hour lets you explore Ocean Cay’s waters by navigating a special clear kayak with transparent base for increased viewing. It takes place at night and your kayak will be fitted with LEDs, so the water below you will be illuminated, making for a unique experience.

Start the fun at the rentals pavilion, where you’ll sign a waiver and then make your way over to the lagoon. You’ll then be given a short safety briefing and guidance information, before setting sail across the lagoon for a guided trip in your clear kayak, lasting approximately 30 minutes. The clear kayaks seat two people, so you’ll be able to share the adventure with a companion.

As you paddle, take time to admire the effect of the LEDs on the water around you, lighting up your immediate surroundings. And make sure to lookout for some of Ocean Cay’s marine life that may be visible through your kayak or nearby (although sightings cannot be guaranteed).

After returning to the lagoon shores, you’ll make your way back to the ship, concluding the excursion.

STINGRAY SANDBAR & BEACH EXPLORATION

Excursion details

Watching a stingray glide through the ocean is a truly memorable sight. During this excursion of about three hours, you’ll view these elegant creatures and even get to join them in the water off Ocean Cay, MSC Cruises’private island in The Bahamas.

The trip starts with a boat transfer of about 30 minutes to Stingray Bay, a secluded spot that’s home to the southern stingray. Beginning with a quick briefing, you’ll have approximately two hours to observe and interact with these diamond-shaped marine creatures.

Alternatively, you can spend your time wandering the beach and enjoying the deserted location. During the approximately 30-minute return boat ride, you’ll be able to sip a complimentary rum punch (water will also be available) while your journey is soundtracked by Bahamian music.

Important Information: Guests must be at least 4 years old to participate and know how to swim. Guests will be required to sign a waiver, which may only be available in English. OCEAN CAY SNUBA EXPLORATION

Excursion details

You don’t need days of diving training to enjoy a taste of underwater life, as this approximately one-hour excursion demonstrates. Instead, you’ll be using the SNUBA system, which lets you explore below the surface, fully submerged, but without the need to wear or carry heavy equipment.

SNUBA is a form of shallow diving where the diver breathes through a mouthpiece attached to a hose, which runs up to an air tank floating on a raft above the surface. This allows for freedom of movement under the water.

Begin by making your way to Ocean Cay’s Bimini Beach, where you’ll meet your SNUBA instructor and sign a waiver, before making your way to the offshore SNUBA site. Your instructor will then show you how to use the SNUBA equipment and give a short briefing on safety and underwater communication.

Then your SNUBA experience of approximately 30 minutes begins. You’ll start in shallow water before gradually moving to increased depths. Once you’re comfortable, begin enjoying the underwater Bahamian views, looking out for a variety of plant life and marine life (although sightings cannot be guaranteed) and submerged, Roman-style statues.

After the SNUBA session ends, you’ll return the equipment and, finally, walking back to the ship.

Important Information: Minimum age is 8 years old; maximum weight is 350 lbs. Guests will be required to sign a waiver, which may only be available in English. Pregnant women and guests with back/neck injuries, heart/respiratory conditions, high blood pressure, seizures or recent surgery are not permitted to join this tour. BROWNS CAY ISLAND ESCAPE BY JET SKI: 2 GUESTS (1 DRIVER & 1 RIDER)

Mix excitement and relaxation on this excursion of around two hours, which allows you to drive a jet ski to Brown’s Cay, near Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. Once arrived, you can kick back on the beach or explore, before returning on your jet ski.

Zip across the waters surrounding Ocean Cay – MSC Cruises’private island in The Bahamas – on a jet ski during this approximately two-hour excursion, which is also a chance to visit a nearby island.

Start by completing a waiver, before receiving a safety briefing and information on using your jet ski, lasting around 20 minutes. Then it’s time to start gliding over those waters. You’ll take an approximately 45-minute guided tour on your jet ski across open water, following your guide to nearby Brown’s Cay. Once you reach the island, there’s approximately 40 minutes of free time, which can be used for relaxing under an umbrella on the beach, snorkelling around the island shores or just cooling down with a complimentary non-alcoholic drink.

Afterwards, enjoy the short jet ski ride back to Ocean Cay’s dock to conclude the excursion.

The minimum age to drive is 18yrs. Guests must be at least 10 years old to participate. All riders between the ages of 10-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Alcohol consumption is not permitted prior to the tour departure. Guests who have spinal problems or are pregnant may not participate in this tour. A life jacket will be provided and will be required to be worn throughout the entire tour duration. Cameras and/or selfie sticks are not permitted to be used during the tour. Guests will be required to sign a waiver for this tour. All participants must speak and understand English. The maximum weight per jet ski must not exceed 170 kg (375 lbs.). OCEAN CAY DAYBED ALL DAY RENTAL

Lounge in style during your time at Ocean Cay Marine Reserve by hiring a daybed on the beach on this rental excursion.

Boost your sunbathing session by renting a daybed, set on one of Ocean Cay’s beaches. Begin by filling in a waiver form to secure your rental. The daybeds are ideal for relaxing on, whether that’s sunbathing, sleeping, reading a book, sipping a cocktail or a little of all four. If you do want to sip a drink or enjoy a snack, the daybed’s attached side table will come in handy, and the included cushions mean that you’ll be comfy, whatever you choose to do.

As you’ll be based on a designated beach, sands and ocean swimming are easily accessible from your daybed, setting you up for a day of relaxation.

OCEAN CAY LIFE TRAM TOUR

View Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve on a sightseeing tour with a difference during this insightful excursion of approximately 90 minutes. You’ll travel by tram and visit four stops to learn about the island’s sustainability measures and environmental practices.

Excursion details

Combine sightseeing with environmental learning on this excursion, which lasts around 90 minutes. You’ll be travelling around Ocean Cay by tram to hear about a range of sustainability principles applied across the island.

Begin by filling in a waiver form, before boarding the tram. Then the journey begins. Your first stop is the freshwater wetland, where thousands of trees and shrubs were planted, and which now supports a variety of birdlife. You’ll hear more about the wetland’s biodiversity over approximately 15 minutes.

Next, you’ll visit the wedding pavilion and helipad, where you’ll spend around 15 minutes, followed by the transport pavilion and the crew beach, where you’ll learn about further sustainability insights over 15 minutes or so, before the excursion concludes.
