Excursion Details

This light, educational, and engaging experience invites you to connect with nature, learn from local traditions, and contribute positively to the environment. After a short vehicle transfer, you will arrive at Praia da Preguiça, where local community guides will welcome you and prepare the group for the canoe adventure. As you paddle through the calm waters of Baía de Todos os Santos toward the iconic Forte de São Marcelo — a historic floating fortress with stunning views — you will learn about the region’s marine life, coastal vegetation, and cultural heritage. Along the way, local fishermen’s stories bring the bay to life, adding depth to the journey.

Participants will also take part in a symbolic environmental action, collecting small floating debris with hand nets to help preserve the bay. Near the fortress, there is a supervised stop for a refreshing swim (life vests provided), along with free time to relax and take photos. On the return to shore, the experience continues with a creative upcycling workshop, using repurposed materials to reflect on sustainability while supporting the local community. The activity concludes with a tasting of fresh seasonal fruits and a friendly closing conversation with your hosts.
