WALKING THROUGH HISTORY
Step back in time on a guided walk along the T1 trail, uncovering the fascinating indigenous, colonial, and imperial history of the region. Explore ancient ruins, a historic aqueduct, and the scenic Praia Preta, all while immersing yourself in culture, nature, and unforgettable views.
Excursion Details
The tour begins with arrival at the pier, followed by the start of a guided walking tour lasting approximately 15 minutes. The first stop is the historic San Sebastian Church, where you will explore its architecture and history. The journey continues with a visit to the Visitors Center of Ilha Grande State Park, offering insights into the region’s natural environment and conservation efforts.
Next, you will stop at the Park Guardhouse followed by a visit to the scenic Preta Beach, where you can take in the surrounding area and spend around 30 minutes swimming and relaxing. The tour then continues to the historic aqueduct for a 15-minute visit, followed by additional free time of 30 minutes to swim in a natural pool nearby. The adventure proceeds to the Preta Belvedere, offering stunning views of the landscape. Finally, you will return to Abraão Village over a 15-minute walk, concluding the tour upon arrival back at the pier after a full day of exploration, nature, and cultural discovery.
Important Information:
This excursion is not recommended for guests with mobility issues, as it includes a long walk on steep terrain. We recommend wearing a cap, closed comfortable shoes, as well as bringing a backpack and towel.
The guide reserves the right to refuse participants wearing high heels and/or flip-flops. Food and beverages are not included; we recommend bringing local currency or a Visa/Mastercard credit card. Guests with food intolerances must notify the Shore Excursions Office on board at least two days before the call. It is only available in Portuguese. The number of guides in languages other than Portuguese is limited. If unavailable, the tour will be offered in Portuguese only. Transfer times, free time, and duration of stay at each stop are approximate and may change without notice. Space is limited, so we recommend booking in advance
