Experience the Atlantic Forest on a scenic tour to the Zungu waterfalls in Angra dos Reis. Visit Chácara do Ouro Waterfall and then follow trails to Neblina and Encanto Waterfalls, with time for swimming and relaxation.
Excursion Details
Angra dos Reis is a destination of mountains and sea. On this tour, you will have the opportunity to explore a bit of the mountainous area and waterfalls located in the Zungu district. The tour offers a sustainable experience and immersion in the region’s rich Atlantic Forest. The excursion begins at Santa Luzia Pier, heading to Chácara do Ouro Waterfall, located 30 minutes from the city center.
The location features a restaurant, restrooms, a natural pool, and a beautiful waterfall. Guests who do not wish to join the hike to Encanto Waterfall may remain at this spot. For hiking and adventure lovers, the trail that departs from Chácara do Ouro is considered moderate to difficult, lasting approximately 1 hour until reaching the stunning and impressive Encanto Waterfall. You will have 40 minutes for swimming/photos before returning to Chácara do Ouro, with an additional 40 minutes to enjoy the facilities surrounded by the Atlantic Forest. Return transfer to the city center is included.
Important Information:
This excursion involves a challenging walk on uneven terrain. Passengers must have excellent physical fitness, as the trails are steep and irregular, full of rocks, roots, and fallen trees. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and walking shoes, as well as bringing swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a hat. The tour includes one bottle of water per person. This excursion will not be canceled due to weather (rain). It is available only in Portuguese. The number of guides in languages other than Portuguese is limited.
If unavailable, the excursion will be offered only in Portuguese. Meals and drinks are not included; it is recommended to bring local currency or a Visa/Mastercard credit card. Travel times, free time, and duration at each stop are approximate and may change without prior notice.
