BEAGLE CHANNEL CRUISE and TIERRA DEL FUEGO NATIONAL PARK
Take a break from the ship to join an outing full of scenic views that begins with a narrated catamaran cruise along the Beagle Channel, a narrow strait named after the first voyage (1826-30) of HMS Beagle.
Youll find the catamaran boasts both enclosed spaces and open deck space so you can choose which spot suits you best for viewing purposes. The route will take you past such photo-worthy spots as Isla de los Pájaros (Bird Island), home to a large gulp of cormorants among others, and Isla de los Lobos (Sea Wolves Island), which provides a habitat for South American sea lions. Youll also pass the Les Éclaireures lighthouse, which the locals call the Lighthouse at the End of the World but is not the same one as detailed in the eponymous Jules Verne book. When you reach Lapataia Bay, youll return to dry land and board a coach for a drive through the verdant Tierra del Fuego National Park. The tour lastly wraps up with your return to the ship.
Please note: Guides in languages other than Spanish/English are limited. Should a tour guide for your language be unavailable, the tour will be in Spanish or English only. Guests are recommended to wear sturdy non-slip walking or hiking shoes, sunscreen, a hat and a jacket or windbreaker since sudden shifts in the weather are common. Sightings of wildlife, though common, cannot be guaranteed.

On 2-day calls, this tour is available on the first and on the second day but please select code USH01 if you wish to take part in this tour on the first day of call and code USH14 if you wish to take part in this tour on the second day of call. This excursion will not be cancelled due to weather conditions (rain).
