OFF-ROAD ADVENTURE TO LAKES ESCONDIDO and FAGNANO
Dedicate a day to exploring the natural beauty of Tierra del Fuego by 4×4 vehicle, starting with a transfer to the centre of the island. While you travel, youll catch drive-by views of Tierra del Fuegos peat bogs and the southernmost reaches of the Andes.
Enjoy superb views of Lakes Escondido and Fagnano when you cross the Andes at the Garibaldi Pass, after which youll continue on ancient roads once used to transport timber. Now no longer in general use, these trails are accessible only by 4×4, take you through the sub-Antarctic Forest and lead to Lake Fagnano, where lunch awaits you. Next up, youll move on to the smaller but equally scenic Lake Escondido, where youll have a moment to savour an amazing panorama. Lastly, youll get to stretch your legs at a spot close to the historical Hostería Petrel before you return to your ship via the old Garibaldi Pass.

As the tour involves travelling over rough, uneven terrain, it is considered to be unsuitable for guests of limited mobility, with neck/back/heart problems and for pregnant women. Guests are recommended to wear casual clothing and comfortable hiking shoes. On 2-day calls, this tour is available on the first and on the second day but please select code USH06 if you wish to take part in this tour on the first day of call and code USH15 if you wish to take part in this tour on the second day of call.
This excursion will not be cancelled due to weather conditions (rain). Guests with any type of food intolerance are required to communicate it to the Shore Excursions Office at least two days before the call
