An island some 65 kilometres off the coast of Honduras, Roatán is known for natural beauty and beautiful beaches. Experience them both on an excursion lasting around five and a half hours.
Begin by boarding a bus at the port and setting off to the first location where you embark on a guided horse ride lasting about 40 minutes. Led by skilled handlers, you ‘ll ride along a scenic nature trail that provides views of the Caribbean Sea before being transferred to the beach club. Here, you ‘ll have around half an hour of free time to relax and paddle in the water, before enjoying an included lunch – lasting around 30 minutes – with local beers and refreshing soft drinks.
Over the next 90 minutes or so, simply enjoy the resort ‘s facilities. Which also includes roughly one hour of access to a scenic stretch of sand and sea, with beach chairs to provide shade and relaxation. A transfer drive of around 45 minutes then returns to the port, concluding the excursion.
Important Information: Guests must be at least 8 years old to participate. The maximum weight to participate is 180 lbs. The maximum age to participate is 70 years old. It is required that guests wear long pants and closed toe shoes for the horseback riding portion of the tour. It is recommended that guests bring insect repellent, a bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, and cash or credit cards for any additional purchases.
Guests should consider their physical fitness prior to booking this tour. Given the island ‘s infrastructure and narrow, winding roads, smaller buses are used for transportation in Roatan, allowing for easier navigation and more efficient travel through the island.
