Experience a 3-hour walking tour through Pelourinho, Salvador’s historic heart, with stops at the iconic Mercado Modelo, Lacerda Elevator, and the most charming colonial streets and landmarks of the city.
Excursion Details
Depart from the pier for an immersive walk. First stop at Mercado Modelo for about 30 minutes to appreciate local crafts and the vibrant atmosphere. Proceed to Lacerda Elevator for a 20-minute stop with spectacular views of Todos os Santos Bay. Continue with a 1 hour and 50 minutes walking tour through Salvador’s Historic Center, discovering churches, squares, and monuments. Return to the pier with a final 20-minute stop at Mercado Modelo for last-minute shopping and city views before boarding.
Important Information:
Although this tour is suitable for families, the route includes walking on uneven paths and cobblestones and is not suitable for people with reduced mobility. We recommend that travelers wear comfortable shoes and a hat.
Lunch is not included in the tour price. The itinerary and places visited on this excursion may change during the Brazilian Carnival, so check with the Excursions Office as soon as you board. On Sundays, the Mercado Modelo closes at 1pm. The number of guides who speak languages other than Portuguese is limited. If there is no tour guide available for your language, the tour will only be offered in Portuguese. This tour will not be canceled in the event of rain
