Excursion Details
Your journey begins with a comfortable transfer from the pier, travelling through the atmospheric Old City. A 20-minute stop at Plaza Independencia allows you to explore the memorial of national hero José Gervasio Artigas, an important Uruguayan landmark. Continue to Batlle Park to see the renowned La Carreta monument, the Montevideo Obelisk, and the historic Centenary Stadium, which hosted the first World Cup in 1930. Next, visit the impressive Legislative Palace, where you have 15 minutes to take photos and admire its architecture. After soaking in the city’s heritage, travel to one of Montevideo’s top wineries for 1.5 hours. Explore the vineyards, learn about wine production, and enjoy a tasting of three award-winning wines, paired with local cheeses, cold cuts, and fresh bread.

Although this tour is available for all ages, travelers must be 18 or older to consume alcoholic beverages; minors will be given non-alcoholic drinks during the tasting. This excursion includes walking on uneven terrain. One alfajor per person is included in this excursion. The number of guides who speak languages other than Spanish is limited. If no tour guide is available in your language, the excursion will only be offered in Spanish.
