A panoramic tour through Montevideo’s main landmarks, followed by a cultural wine experience in an urban winery.
Excursion Details
The tour begins at Independence Square, the historic center of the city, where you can admire the Artigas Mausoleum, Palacio Salvo, and the Solís Theatre. From there, the panoramic route continues to the Legislative Palace, an architectural icon and symbol of Uruguay’s democracy. Next, you will visit the Agricultural Market (MAM), a restored early 20th-century market that showcases local flavors, crafts, and daily life in Montevideo. The tour then continues through Parque Batlle, passing by the Obelisk, La Carreta Monument, and the famous Estadio Centenario, where the first FIFA World Cup took place. To complete the experience, the tour arrives at City Winery, an urban space dedicated to Uruguayan wine culture. There, you will enjoy a 360° audiovisual presentation that highlights the country’s winemaking traditions and regions. The visit concludes with a guided tasting of three wines, each selected to represent Uruguay’s wine identity. A well-balanced tour combining history, culture, and local flavor.
