Excursion Details
Start with a 40-minute panoramic tour of Rio’s historic heart and a visit to São Sebastião Cathedral. Continue with photo stops at Maracanã Stadium and the Sambódromo, experiencing Rio’s sporting and cultural flair. Ascend Sugarloaf Mountain by cable car, where around 2 hours at the summit allow you to appreciate views of Guanabara Bay, Niterói, and Corcovado. Return to the port, concluding your excursion.
Important Information:
Travelers must cover their shoulders and knees to enter the cathedral. The order of the tour may change due to lines at Sugarloaf. The itinerary and locations visited during this excursion may change during the Brazilian Carnival period. Passing by the beaches is subject to local parades during the year, as the beachfront avenues may be closed for traffic. Photo stops at the Sambódromo complex are subject to traffic conditions. This tour is only available for transit travelers. Lines and traffic may affect the available time at Corcovado and Sugarloaf, but there will be a minimum stay of 30 minutes at each destination.
The duration of this excursion does not include the transfer time to the airport (approximately 45 minutes). Waiting times for the cable car may vary due to congestion. In the event of strong winds or storms, the service may be suspended. This excursion will not be canceled due to weather (rain). Transfer times, free time, and duration of stay at each stop are approximate and may change without notice. It is only available in Portuguese. The number of guides in languages other than Portuguese is limited.
