Excursion Details
First, you will board a boat and sail through Lapataia Bay to reach the Beagle Channel and the numerous islands that dot its course. The first wildlife spot you’ll pass is Isla de los Pájaros (Bird Island), which provides habitat for a large colony of imperial cormorants. Next, expect to see sea lions on Isla de los Lobos before proceeding to admire the views of the Les Éclaireures lighthouse in the archipelago of the same name. Lastly, you will head to Hammer Island, where the playful antics of a large group of Magellanic penguins will surely make you smile. The return trip to Ushuaia concludes your tour.
Important Information:
Guests are recommended to wear sturdy non-slip walking or hiking shoes, sunscreen, a hat and a jacket or windbreaker since sudden shifts in the weather are common. Sightings of wildlife, though common, cannot be guaranteed. On the first day the tour might take place in the afternoon. You can start the tour by boat or by bus and then change the vehicle during the tour
