This excursion of approximately two and half hours includes stops at an underground network known as The Caves and the white sands of Saunders Beach, as well as views of colonial architecture and tropical landscapes.
An approximately 15-minute walk to the port entrance begins the excursion, where your experience starts with a sightseeing drive of around 30 minutes to The Caves, also known as the Caves of New Providence.
One of the oldest attractions on the island, the history of these caverns stretches back millions of years. Over time, waves from the sea eroded the softer parts of the sedimentary rock, causing hollows to form. Centuries later, pirates are said to have hidden treasure there.
Spend around 15 minutes touring The Caves before returning to your journey along the coastline with its ocean vistas. There’s then a short comfort break of around 15 minutes at Lynden Pindling International Airport, the Bahamas’main airport, named after the Bahamas’first prime minister.
Your sightseeing tour then continues with a journey of around 30 minutes to Saunders Beach. Spend around 30 minutes here, enjoying the coastal views and the chance to walk on the sands, before an approximately 15-minute journey back to the port
